George RR Martin is a brilliant author. His series of books A Song of Fire and Ice are the best books I have ever read. But at the end of book 4, 'A Feast for Crows,' there is a small note from Mr Martin saying this.".... all the rest of the characters you love or love to hate will be along next year (I devoutly hope) in 'A Dance with Dragons'...."

I occaisionally glance at his blog which now seems to focus a lot more on watching baseball than it does writing. Crack on man for Gods sake.
These series of books sound like wonderful works of literature. May Fernandomando suggest that, while you are waiting for the next instalment of literary genius, you cast your eye on 'Midnight's Children' by Salman Rushdie? I am sure that it will not compare to what you await, but might pass the time.
